I found this fellow’s site, “The Ongoing Adventures of Asbo Jesus” and was really taken by it. His name is Jon and I believe he is a professional cartoonist in Britain. His blog contains some work of his that he says “no one would be daft enough to pay for!” According to Jon, in Britain “an ‘asbo’ is an ‘anti-social behaviour order’… the courts here award them to people who are deemed to be constant trouble in their neighbourhoods… presumably according to their neighbours!”

These are just a couple of his cartoons and he has many. His sense of humor is biting and thoughtful and his site is well worth the visit;

(You may want to zoom you page up a notch or two to be able to read all the captions.  Of course your eyes are probably a lot better than mine.)

    Hey, night tiger, I think you are correct in that there is a certain arrogance intrinsic to the medium that this fellow employs. He is guilty as charged, just like Gary Trueau, Herblock, Walt Kelly, Matt Groenig and even Charles Shultz. I think it comes with the social commentator’s territory.

    I think the artist is pointing out the absurd actions of fundamentalists and evangelicals.

    Don’t you mean the ‘absurd’ actions that we have all committed at one time or another?

    Hmm. I am without absurdity, so you will have to find a different person on which to practice your pent up rages.

    I am a well-known, in the name of God, absurdtor. I feign recall the list.

    Good thing Liberals, Catholics, Emergents, and Anglicans have never done anything absurd…

    BTW – you should read Chris’ ‘clanging’ post before you submit any comments, he doesn’t like you saying anyone is wrong…

    Ah. I’m allergic to estrogen. It causes me to break out (usually of the house).

    Yeah, some people are still trying to count those “pinheaded” angels. 🙂

    Bruce considers himself an ex-evangelical fundamentalist. You know how ex-smokers can be so unforgiving of smokers? It’s sort of like that.

    Hey Christian,

    Just what I needed. Sometimes I take things too seriously and this reminds me that I need to laugh at myself, loosen up. Thanks.
